Must have album for any "Madchester" fan!

Sean Ryder, Bez and friends bounced back into the charts in 1995 after years awol due to the split of The Happy mondays. This is their finest hour with an album which would be worthy of the title "Pills Thrills and Bellyaches 2"
Right from the start of the album Sean's unique vocal chords and witty lyrics will keep you listening right to the last swearword.
Speaking of swearwords there are loads! would you expect anything different from Sean Ryder. I originaly bought the album when it was released in 1995, since then I have eroded my way roughly 3 copies, I am a massive fan of The Happy Mondays, also Black Grape so a very biassed rating of excellent is given, All I can say is if your into The Stone Roses, The Charlattans, The Soupdragons, Northside, Airhead, James etc its an album well worth having and would look good in your collection.

Pure Party!

This album is indeed one of the best efforts of the British 90's music scene! Shaun Ryder made a comeback with a vengeance from the sad demise of Happy Mondays. Just too bad that they really weren't able to follow up this. Anyway, Just buy it, it is impossible not to like this album, it rocks, it grooves, it puts a smile to your face and it chills you out! This together with Screamdealica (that's Primal Scream's finest, but you should already know that and own it) and you have two of the best albums of all time... or at least the 90's!!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Black Grape - it's great when you're straight ---yeah

Top albunm, I bought this when it was originally realeased on cassette. Played it so much it sounded absolutly fab, sadly the tape was eaten by a hungry radio!, but I have now 11 years later replaced it with the cd, the dynamic sound of the is second to none, Sean's vocals are typically Sean, the whole thing is so well produced its legendary. This belongs in your collection somewhere near to the Roses, Charlatans and the Monday's. Also its worth a mention that the second albunm is well worth a listen too - even tho the critics seemed to slate it to the ground.....why???
