The Black Book!

Well it has subtitles, so if that bothers you, then don't buy it or watch it. There is a story running thru this which keeps you guessing (unless you work it out quicker than I did) as to who the real villains are. War time as it probably was when jews were being killed by Nazis. I would argue its worth watching as it does have a good story line and even features Nazis trying to escape after the end of the war.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Best WWII film

Black Book is undoubtedly one of the best films about the Second World War. Not surprisingly, I may add, if we take the cast and crew into consideration. The story line is engaging, acting is beautifully done (Sebastian Koch is just his usual, flawless self, and Carice van Houten is amazing as Ellis). The realism of how the different languages are used in the film and the individualistic portrayal of the characters just makes Black Book perfect.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Thrilling story

This film Black Book has to rate among the Best films l hAve seen in many years. The story line is superb the acting second to none. I believe that the actor's taking part made this film over a number of years without pay. This film is a credit to those who made it. It is an absolutely wonderful film right to the closing minutes. Good storyline.

Although a trilingual film it doesn't detract from a good thriller. I really enjoyed the film as entertainment.
