Great for a budget layout!
Looks more realistic than the black roadbed track, works great but expect the gates to bounce due to it being a pressure plate crossing, better conductor than the original tracks with the black roadbed. Hilight on the train table!
Grandson is new to enjoying a family train set. Purchased this for his new table. It operates as described and looks "cool". Highly recommend.

Close but no banana
It is very realistic looking. When a train runs over it the gates are supposed to come down...they don’t. They go up and down as each car passes. I will buy electronic controlled ones in the future.

No problem with this one . Just a side note short cars may not keep the gates down for long but it's still great.
