Built to last - Worked straight out of the box -no fiddly software or laptop required
2004 Holden Adventra CX8 (LS1 V8). SRS Airbag and oil pressure sensor faults. Removed both fault codes. In the past I have tried other obd scan tools (cheapest of the cheap dongle types) only to struggle with finding software that worked. Doesn't always do what it says on the packet
Well I had high hopes for this device assuming I would be upgrading from a much cheaper unit that does not have the capability for airbag systems.
Well I have used this unti three times and have only been successful once.
On one occasion it did not read an airbag issue on a Ssangyong Rexton series 2 2010 model and then more worryingly it failed to link with a 2002 pajero diesel on simple code reading !!!
I am not very confident of its long term performance and may well send it back. I would not recommend this unti.

Cheap and good
This scan tool enabled me to fully bleed the abs module on a kia carnival (vq) saving me a good deal of money. Has a wide range of compatible vehicles and works great.
Cant beat it for the price.

Disappointed
Software is all for US based vehicle's, very hard to get to communicate with Aussie brands. Also hard to get the app to work. Will only work on Android phone and NOT android tablet, which I really needed. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Not as DIY as led to believe.
Not as simple as led to believe, lot of things don't match up from directions to internet programs, wasn't even allowed to put neutral feedback ,ebay won't let you. Problem finding Australian cars.

Works perfectly on 2006 Hyundai Tucson
I bought this coz it has its own screen, no PC required. It's user friendly and easy to use. I first used it to fix for an airbag warning light after it gave me a DTC code and error description. My old one is GDS solely for Hyundai but needs PC connection. I highly recommend this for home mechanic. Very good
Autel is one of the best car scanner tools on the market and this one is a cheaper priced one but is still very good.
