Super-fast, great fit-and-finish. Excellent!
Perfect!
I had hardly finished clicking "Buy It Now" when I received shipping-notification ... the seller is *by far* the fastest I've had the pleasure of buying from. The quality is fantastic ... the font / lines / outside are clean indeed. Very close inspection reveals the cutter milling passes, but from every normal viewing distance farther than "sniffing the mic" this flag appears perfect.
Like some others, I may prefer to spend 5x on a custom metal mic-flag, but that's not an option. This plastic mic flag is available, very nicely priced, well-made, and an awesome addition to any hamshack.

Quality. Easy to install.
A quality product that is easy to install. I chose black lettering on silver which turned out to provide less than ideal contrast; but, in the right light it looks sharp.
Microphone Callsign Flag
This is an eye-getting addition to my D-104. It is of great quality and fits the microphone very well. The only thing I would like to see different is the 0 for the 10th call district callsigns. The D104 an American icon
D104's are an American icon. They don't make them like this anymore. I generally rebuild all of them when I get them, so that they work as they did in the 1970's. But, honestly, it is quite rare that I get a D104 these days that doesn't need some work. But when they are restored, they are an awesome mic.
I am sure if these were still in production, they would go for around $300.
So many were made though that it keeps the price point pretty low. Because as I said, most are in fairly rough shape electronically.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Better than metal.
I thought it would be plastic, but it looked so much like polished brass that I reviewed it saying it was metal, but upon a closer look it is, in fact plastic. An hour later the D-104 got knocked off the desk, I sure am glad it's not metal, because it would have been a bent-up mess, but the plastic didn't even get scratched or cracked. If you are into Ham Radio or into radio history this is a great item to add to your collection. Everyone that sees it ask where I got it and really like it even those not in the hobby. It is well made and the turn around time is very fast it shipped the day they received the order. These Astatic D-104 Mic Flags look great! I have two of these mics, and now I have two flags for them. One in green and one in yellow. They add just the right "retro" touch.
