Arkham Horror The Card Game

Very fun and thematic

Curse of the Rougarou is the first stand-alone scenario I’ve played for AH, and I quite enjoyed it. I will say, though, that it’s not the most original or replayable scenario out there. It reminds me a lot of the “Blood on the Altar” scenario from the Dunwich cycle, because you’re essentially just exploring locations and hunting down a big bad monster, the titular Rougarou in this case. Still, I think that this scenario does a good job of capturing the “hunting a werewolf in the Louisiana swamps” fantasy, and I’m assuming that that’s the main reason you’re buying this pack. I will say that this scenario is pretty difficult even on the normal setting, and you’ll definitely want a somewhat upgraded deck to take it on. There are also a few cards that you can potentially add to your deck after beating this scenario, if you choose to play this scenario as a sidequest in a campaign.

If you’re someone who doesn’t really play AH that much but just enjoys collecting the cards, I think you’ll want this pack. There’s some really nice artwork on the cards and some cool monsters show up in the encounter deck.
