Does exactly what it says, converts modern Mac with thunderbolt connector to give you a firewire connection to allow you to connect to video cameras etc.

It's just a connector and works well.

It does what it's supposed to do but why are Apple connectors so expensive.

Could be clearer about the versions of Thunderbolt (see above)

This adapter works for Thunderbolt (original version) and Thunderbolt 2, but not the latest Thunderbolt 3. If you are starting with Thunderbolt 3 I believe there is a separate Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter that you would need as well. I'm using it for Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 conversion and it performs well, and I don't notice it's there.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Expensive but works.

It does connect my two macs quickly and easily. But it is a very expensive cable!
