Disappointing performance.
After placement opposite where a neighbor had once kept a badly soiled cat box behind a shared wall, there is no noticeable improvement. The odor is as before I purchased the Air free P2000. Management already changed the neighbor's carpet and part of the sheetrock on his side that was tainted by cat urine, but even though that brought about a lot of improvement, none can be credited to the Air free P2000.

Quiet, Perfect for My Bedroom
Based on other reviews, it seems this product works very well for most people, but not for all.
I live with 2 cats and noticed a while ago that I was waking up with a stuffy nose and overall congestion. After the first night using this unit, I woke up with completely clear breathing! I wanted to make sure, so I waited a few days before posting this review. I'm breathing much better and also sleeping much better. When I move to another room, after a while I feel the congestion and sneezing coming back. So I guess I need to get another one for my living room.

Great for removing cat dander
My boyfriend is allergic to cats, and would sneeze often and get very sniffly, runny eyes and nose so I bought this to help get rid of the airborne dander in my house. This has helped so much, he rarely has any symptoms anymore, I bought one for the downstairs floor now too. Love that you do not have to buy replacement filters as those get costly, and that it is maintenance free. I also wipe my cats with allerpet which also helps in reducing the dander they emit themselves. It produces no noise and you can turn the light off so it won't wake you up at night. A Breath of Fresh Air
This purifier was recommended by a doctor specializing in mold illness and it did indeed take the musty smell out of the room.
