Good value FX entry level cpu with a noisy stock fan.
The entry level FX, 4 core and fast enough for everyday computing. 'Cool and Quiet' technology. Well it runs cool enough but if you want to use it in a media centre then quiet it is not. Horrible, whining little fan is what it is. Fortunately you can use a quiet cooler of the tower type with a 120mm fan, e.g. Hyper 212 Evo. A wide case is required to do this so do some research before assuming the cooler will fit. Ok in an Antec Three Hundred Two case.
Overall good value when compared with Intel cpus but what a turn off that fan is. The one year warranty seems a little mean too.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
Top class power & Performance, for a great price
The 3.6 GHz quad core processor is absolutely amazing...
The processor handling time is next to nothing compared to my older 3.0 GHz duel core.
I highly recommend this processor to anybody
I don't regret buying it, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros: Fast. Overclockable.
Cons: REALLY bad heat distribution. Stock cooler definitely not good enough. Even a decent fan barely copes.
Price/Performance (Y)
Easy to overclock. Can handle 4.2ghz with stock cooler in budget mobo. :) Good base for a budget gaming system.
