Worked perfectly on my pc!

I got it within a couple of days after order and was very happy about it then i opened my computer remove the heat sync cleaned it and applied some thermal paste to the new cpu and put it in the socket put my heat sync back on tested it and it worked! Good product for mild system upgrade

Since a major computer update is astronomical in costs, took my old asus m2n-sli deluxe and upgraded CPU from 4800 w/1gb memory and increased efficiency with a 6000 2gb duel core chip. 125 TDP version of the quickest of this series processor - just be sure it will work for you.

If you have an older AMD Socket AM2 PC, say of the Windows Vista or early Windows 7 era and you want to upgrade the Athlon 64 x2 series processor - this is as fast as they go. Now you do need to make sure the power supply and motherboard will support this 125 thermal power design Windsor version as many systems are limited to the more costly 89 TPD version.

For me, this works well in my trusty old Dell Inspiron 531 that I purchased new in 2007 and has helped keep it in service just a little longer running Windows 7. Will it make your vintage PC a gaming monster? Of course not. But it will keep it up to the performance of entry level new PCs provided RAM is also up to modern needs. Super easy install, really, anyone can do it.

It gave my old machine a very needed boost. Excellent way to enliven an older machine. I installed this wihin 10 minutes, and it was a breeze... and works magnificently.

Great CPU for AM-2 mobo. Extend the life of your old PC with this chip.

For the older AMD AM-2 motherboards this is the best chip you get short of the rare, power-hungry 6400+. It really is on par with the newer Regor chips from AMD, except that they use fewer watts, make less heat on a smaller die. I upgraded an older system (had an AMD Athlon x2-4200) for my son. Now games are playable again. He's playing Civ 5 and Skyrim on this system combined with a Nvidia 9800GT-OC with high settings (not ultimate settings) with great fps.

Went from 0-60!

The computer is a Dell Inspirion 531s from 2008. I bought this chip to replace an AMD Sempron single core 2.1GHz processor. I put this chip in after updating the BIOS. I noticed the speed immediately. I'm Using Windows 7 Professional the web pages load fast and most importantly YouTube loads fast. Video playback has improved so much. I also put in a new/used GPU, ATI Radeon 2400XT 256MB. I added 2GB single memory card for a total of 4GB. I can now play Street Fighter IV that I bought in 2009!! Decent performance boost for older systems

I think I previously had the 4000+ pre installed. To help performance, I got the 6000+ which helps. This is for my son’s pc which he mostly plays Roblox on and sometimes other apps. My research showed this was the fastest CPU upgrade for my motherboard. Install and performance were flawless.

Easily installed, and inexpensive due to being an older model. My computer is operating faster and is stable.

Upgrade to Dell Dimension C521

This AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3 GHz Processor was bought to replace an AMD Sempron in a Dell PC for use as an HTPC running XBMC. I need the dual processor power to run full HD video content.
The chip installed very easily and simply and worked straight "out of the box". I am not sure if the chip is a Windsor or Brisbane version but it seems to work OK so only time will tell. Its worth doing some research to make sure the chip is compatible with the PCs BIOS. Some websites suggested it would only work with an earlier BIOS and that Brisbane processors are a bit hit and miss so it's not quite as straight forward as it may first appear.
