Very compelling and detailed account of operation Market Garden. Ryan was a war correspondent and accompanied allied forces after D Day. So no one better to tell such a story.

Fantastic Reading

I bought this as I am planning to go to Holland next year & wanted to get more info on Operation market garden.
This book is excellent with all the info on preparation & execution of the plan as well as photo's & maps.It is well written & laid out with interesting foot notes.
I would suggest watch the film - read the book - then watch the film again as well as "their's is the glory"
