Not to bad a buy

6Inch Digital Vernier caliper

Problems with using 6" Digital Caliper vernier
Despite being robust & well made there are a number of flaws with the design & accuracy of the gauge.
It needs zeroing every time you measure, even if re-checking the same measurements.
The zeroing button is very easy to knock causing false readings.
Internal measurements are less accurate than external ones.

Top Class Calliper / Vernier Gauge.
I've always wanted a replacement for a basic non-digital model, & having read unfavourable reviews of the so called "carbon fibre" (but actually plastic?) cheaper models, decided to pay more for stainless steel (although not much more anyway).
This item is well made, easy to use, & seems really accurate, I've even used it to compare the thickness of 2 different gauges of black refuse sacks & it was 0.01 mm.

Good Value
Very good value for what it is, you can pay more than this for a plastic one. Only draw back is were they put the battery cover, it is right where you put your thumb to move to the vernier which can result in you pulling the battery cover off. An inexpensive easy to use product with full instructions, has solved a number of problems without spending lots of money and the need for a degree in engineering.

Digital callipers
Superb quality proper engineers tool infinitely better than plastic types advertised on eBay. Accurate to thousandths not tenths for absolute precision measuring

The calliper is quite poorly finished with nasty burrs on the metal parts, which will have to be cleaned up!
It seems to work ok but only time will tell how it stands up to normal use.
