Works really well at a very nice price

Updated the navigator on my W212 220 CDi Elegance 2011 make with an NTG4 212 Comand using these DVDs. It had the 2013 maps, supplied free of charge by factory/dealer but after that left unattended, probably because of the sky high prices the Daimler Corporation charges.

It is much cheaper to buy a TomTom or Garmin quality after market navigator, but which you probably don't want on the windscreen of your Mercedes.

Anyway. I connected my car battery to an external charger, turned the ignition key to position 2, chose the navigator on the comand and put disk #1 in the record slot. The system initialized import right away but it took about 20 minutes to get from 0% to 1%.

After that the process was slow but stabile, you get messages on the screen all the time. When told to change to disk #2, just eject #1 and insert #2.

When done, eject disk #2 and restart your car.

The process took about four hours, but was really easy to perform. The process takes a lot of tile so I recommend connecting your battery to an external charger,.
