CDs that look like 45s are cool. BUT I must say, despite what the review above said, the underside is not black. I was really hoping for that, as I always enjoyed my all black CDs and they were far more resilient to scratching etc. Sadly, despite the black realistic vinyl top... the underside is your fairly standard silver refracting CD bottom.
They seem well-made, and the upper surface is pretty scratch resistant, so you are very unlikely to get the "top scratches" that you get on many blank CDs. Those are the worst kind, as they are totally unfixable without completely resurfacing and putting a new reflective top paint (which no one would ever do... unless the disc was the only copy of an unreleased Sublime master tape or something ;-). Bottom scratches can usually be buffed out with mild toothpaste and banana inner peal.
So, in spite of my 5 star review, I AM a bit disappointed that they are not the all-black (black on the bottom) kind. They are a solid, fun and reasonably priced gimmick CD, and being misled by a previous review is not grounds to take away a star IMHO.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Stand out
There is bang for your buck and it stands out amongst a sea of blanks. I record my masters on these. People just love them and wonder if it will even work because of the black underside. Every underside of a cd or dvd is expected to be silver and it amazes people how well they play. To me it is a lil bit of a joke when people ask for instructions on how to play it or they don't have a compatible cd player. Cool Retro Look and Great Media product
I like to burn my own CD's and give them away. People always comment on the Record look to these CD's. I have never had any problems with this brand of Media. They hold up well in cars, and in basements, and still play well year after year.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Really cool looking CD-Rs that burn well.
I'm using these to burn giveaway copies of my first full-length album. I feel like having good looking CDs means your music is more likely to be listened to and less likely to end up in the trash bin.
For the price I paid, these weren't much more expensive than regular CD-Rs and they look neat. I have gone through a spindle of 50 and only had one that looked messed up - the print and vinyl layer was off center by about 3mm on the surface of the disc, but it still burned just fine! So I haven't had any coasters or mini frisbees so far, which is awesome.
They really do look like little 45s even up close, except for the characteristic CD rainbow glow that is visible even on the top. Before I got them I assumed the vinyl layer on top would be a bit thicker, but the disc is still pretty streamlined and smooth. I feel like the top layer might provide a little bit of additional protection to the disc - the top of a disc is actually more susceptible to damage than the bottom.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Perfect for media transfers
I make small batch runs of wav files for clients who want to hear a particular song in my catalogue, and these little CDs still fill that niche very well. Everybody always has to comment on the appearance of the CDs and they provide an additional, if indirect, selling point. Hard to find these at retailers any more.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Like nothing else!
These CDs are the coolest looking (and feeling) CDs I have ever seen. They look like an old "vinyl record" on top. The texture makes you think you could play it.

Good quality CD's. I can't say they're any better than your average CD; their design just adds a little bit of nostalgic "cuteness" to the mix.
