Seems like an improvement to the original
It was great to get in the mail, the box made it clear that it worked with all Windows versions, and right when I plugged it in the controller worked fine without having to install software. I've been using it often over the last few weeks and have no complaints. I originally didn't like and never used the turbo and clear buttons above select and start, but I don't even notice them now.
One great thing about this controller is the price, it's actually only $12.48 which is worth every penny. I've compared it with an original Super Nintendo controller and they're about the same size, a little different round shape but I got familiar with it after a few minutes. My only concern is if any liquids fall on the buttons, especially the L and R because they have a bit of a gap between the shape around them.
Unlike other controllers I've purchased before, this one doesn't feel cheap. Select and start are all rubber buttons like the original controller, but the best improvement is the D-pad. Some controllers sort of mash down and are tough to be precise with, but this one is great with games where you shoot diagonally or fighting games.
The controller can be a bit loud when mashing the buttons, but it's about the same noise level as typing on my computer so I can't complain. The X Y B A buttons have a good spring to them when you play, it's only the L and R buttons that tend to be loud. The controller is very identical in size to the original, and the weight feels fine.
The cord length is perfect for me, you're not stuck leashed to where you connect. The only complaint I can think of is a sticker on the back, but you can peel it off. Still feels new after several hours of play, none of the colors faded yet so I'm expecting this to last long.
This was obviously designed for Super Nintendo games, but I've managed to play Genesis games and only a selective few Dreamcast games but some Dreamcast titles require the joystick. I've also tested out original Nintendo games, I found it easier swapping the Y and B buttons. Overall this is a great product, it's the only Super Nintendo controller that got the D-pad done perfectly and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart anytime soon.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Well worth your money
This is a very well designed controller, and probably the closest one to an original Super Nintendo controller. Having a turbo button is a really nice feature too. The d pad is a little bit different and takes a while to get used to, but that's really the only issue with this controller. I definitely recommend this one for a standalone controller. It also works very well for nes and gameboy emulators as well. I haven't tested it on a sega Genesis emulator, but it works very well on the others. I've used a PS3 controller for most of my emulators, but this one feels more comfortable to use, and also more genuine when it comes to replicating the true spirit of how nes and snes games were meant to be played. Finally a good one!
I have bought several different snes style usb controllers before, and was always disappointed in the quality of most of them. My last one was a Retrolink brand one, and it was a decent one, but the controller felt cheap, and after a few weeks it broke. I decided to try this one next, and boy was I pleased! I could immediately tell that this one was of much better quality than any of the previous ones I tried. All the buttons feel 1:1 with a real Nintendo snes controller! The only slight difference I can feel is the d-pad. While it is extremely precise, and also of high quality, there is just something off about the way it feels when you press in a diagonal direction. It could be just because it hasn't been worn in or something, but either way it feels good. It is also very easy to use. Plug it in, and it installs in seconds. You can go right to using it. Perfect gamepad for SNES games
I was looking for a gamepad for SNES games on my HTPC. I am using Windows + RetroArch. I have read recommendations for this Buffalo one and it did not disappoint - it works flawless in RetroArch. All I had to do was to remap the buttons and choose other input driver. I also have a Logitech Rumblepad 2, but that one is not usable for SNES games, where you need 4-way D-pad like on this Buffalo controller (to be able to control the direction precisely).

Chilhood revisited
I bought this controller to play my old games,i love it!!! the controller is very well made,no junk,it has the look of the Famicom style controller which i love,nice bright colors instead of the boring purple buttons,the controller does what its supposed to do and it does it well.
Some reviews had minor complaints about the weight ,not sure if they meant it was too heavy or too light (haven't used a SNES controller in a few years so i cant remember) , just give it a few hours of gameplay and you'll get used to it,here recently my trusty keyboard went out,it was one of those really nice Microsoft keyboards that are really expensive with the pad and wireless,had to start playing with a crappy one and i thought it was the end of the world,a month later I'm totally used to it, lol, thats how it works!! Great snes controller
Hands down the best snes controller at this price point. I highly recommend it. The feel is just like the original Super Nintendo controller. The Closest You Can Get to Original Hardware!
I had been using an 8BitDo SFC30 which is a quality controller but I was always discouraged by the input lag even when wire-connected. I was told that the iBuffalo is the superior controller so I figured since it’s now discontinued, I’d buy it now before it got any more expensive and I’m glad I did. The package arrived a day earlier than the estimated arrival date and the iBuffalo has significantly less input lag; I couldn’t be happier! As long as your PC/Laptop has DirectX 9 or above, Windows installs the adapter in less than a minute once plugged into the USB port. It’s high quality construction, snappy buttons and accurate D-Pad make it my go to controller when not playing on original hardware. An excellent SNES controller clone
Don't bother with the cheapo SNES controller clones - spend the money on this if you're even remotely serious about retro gaming. Unlike the cheap clones (where button presses feel spongy and the dpad can't tell the difference between up and diagonal-up), the Buffalo feels sturdy, has a nice and sure dpad, and button presses are snappy without being clicky. Speaking of durability. If you're using this to play Lvl 19 tetris about 5-6 hours a time, you're going to wear down the d-pad.
I actually had the d-pad break on me and I had to order another one in just 3 months. However, I was using this controller almost every time I could.

Probably the best USB SNES /FC Controller on the Market
This thing is great. It has a good heft, the buttons are tacit and responsive. The thing looks and feels almost exactly like the real deal.
