Great multitasking DS stylus action. Short but very satisfying.

Who here has heard of South Peak Games? I haven't either, but apparently they are known for making very short games with very simple stories and simple gameplay mechanics. Since I had an R4 card, I tried a TON of DS games via emulation. This was one of em. If I liked it, I'd play it and eventually bought it, if not, then ah well, I got to try the game out. This game is VERY FUN and should be added to anyone's library.

In this game, you are a chef (Ken) with a single staff member, your waitress (Megumi) and together you make the BEST DAMN RESTAURANT ON THE PLANET. You start small and eventually grow larger all the while its just the 2 of you. Eventually you tour the world, serving millions everywhere till your the best that ever was.

That's the plot, gameplay-wise the game is very simple. You make food. There are 6 types of food you can make; Sushi, Pizza, Pasta, Steak, Curry, and Burgers each with their own method of making. The top screen shows you what's going on in your restaurant while the bottom screen is where you create all the orders of food that people make. You have 4 tables and when an order comes from a table, you see the food they ordered with a colored tag next to it to show you which table ordered it. This is important since there are "normal people" and "important people" you have to serve, Gluttons to Critics to Famous Chefs, all who look for different qualities in how you made the food.

Now its called Fast Food "Panic" because you have to make all the food FAST. If people get upset because your too slow with their orders, they will leave and you lose points. You have a time limit on every stage and have to serve a certain number of people before times up.

The game is entirely stylus controlled but very easy to do. Everything you make shows you what strokes you have to make during which step while making it. For example Pizza has 4 steps. First you roll and flatten the batter, which should take 2 seconds, then you place the toppings that were ordered and they are shadowed on the pizza, you just have to match and place them on it should take 4 seconds if your quick. Then you have to bake the pizza, and this is where your multitasking abilities come to play. You press the appropriate oven settings and a thermometer rises to show how its going. When it gets to a certain temp, you turn it off. This takes about 15 seconds. So while THAT'S going, you better go and start/complete other orders you have BUT don't forget the pizza and burn it~ When its done baking, you cut the pizza and its done. Some orders can be done instantly like Sushi, and Burgers but most others need to sit and simmer in a pot or bake in the oven and while that's going you have to work on other foods.

As more and more people pile in, more and more orders are created, and when "important people" come in, you had better make sure your service with them is top notch. The most a table can host is 4 people. So with 4 tables each that's a max of 16 people but I've never seen it get that hectic. Your worst nightmare is the Glutton. A single fat guy who can order 3-6 items at once!

This is a high action and intense game once you get into it and if you are naturally good at multitasking a little you can handle this game, at least on Easy and Normal, Hard is pretty brutal.

The game is pretty darn cheap now so if you want a simple but very fun and intense stylus you can't go wrong with this one for sure. The Wii game is similar but DS one is my favorite.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

The game is as I remember

It has entertaining game play, nice graphics, and to my pleasure, lots of game play with the stylus.

Lastly, it's pretty fun.

Pretty good for kids; not so much for adults

I usually like food-related DS games, but this one not so much. It really wasn't very challenging, and it seems to have serious limitations on the number of levels you could attain. It's okay for the under 12 set, but I think most adult gamers would find this a little tame. But, you never know unless you try! No harm, no foul!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Fast Food Panic

I decided to buy Fast food panic DS game for my 9 year old niece. She loves to help her mom prepare meals.

i love this game its great i would love to everybody to play this game. this auction was great. a fun game...
