My wife is getting back into sewing after retirement. She has had numerous pair of the less expensive scissors bought at the big craft stores. they are fine for about a year then start to have plank spots in cutting area. She is left handed so finding scissors for her is hard. The Gingher are a perfect fit for her left hand, and you can tell the quality by the balanced weight and superb cutting edges. You can't go wrong with Gingher scissors. They are the best traditionl forged carbon steel shears. This left-handed version is very comfortable and cuts like a dream

Not a good sewing shears.

It would only cut when using the very tip of the shears.
