The best out!

I wouldn't have said I'm was a massive Timbaland fan but after his few single releases I bought the album, and wasn't let down.

He has a mix of various artists including Nelly Furtado, J. Timberlake, Fall Out Boy, Missy Elliott, Elton John on the piano and so much more - at least an additional one for each track. Remember these top artists wouldn't go in with Timbaland if he was no good.

The music has some good beats. Fast at times, chilled at others (One of the BEST albums to make love to ;) remeber that!)

So anyway, if you like at least one Timbaland track you will not be let down with this album.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

King Timbo

What an album!

I went and bought this album when it was first released in April 2007 because I KNEW it be one of those albums that would be played over and over and over again and would never get tiresome.

I've played this album when a lot of different people have been around and EVERYONE has asked what it was because they liked it, and then have gone and bought it because of it's immense appeal to people across genres.

If you like the Missy and Timbo meetings or Timbo and Magoo mixes then this is definately an album for you.

It main content reminds me of songs such as "Naughty Eye", "Wit You Bad Self", "Can We Do It Again" & "Cop That S***" from the Timbaland and Magoo albums.

Although there are a couple of easy-going songs, most of the material is laced with heavy beats, fat basslines and crisp vocal overlays that fill each track right out without getting messy and over complicated. Because of the catchy melodies and loops then this will appeal to the Pop Chart market aswell as the avid long time listeners.

The album open with the excellently simple "Oh Timbaland". Definately not a traditional hip-hop intro song, but definately gets you introduced to the style of the album.
I don't know whether I'm taken by "Fantasy" which is probably the lowest point of the album, but then you can't really hear what she's singing which in my mind is really annoying due to her synthesised vocal filter.

"Bombay" is excellently composed, however reminds me somewhat of "Indian Flute" in Under Construction Part II by Timbo & Magoo but is much fuller and has a much warmer tone with a kicking drum beat.

I like that Missy and Magoo are still there and it's nice to see the Timberlake colab but the biggest achievemtn is the transformation and re-introduction of Nelly Furtardo as a Hip Hop diva!

You definately reccomend buying this album whoever you are and whatever music you listen to.

The bad point is that I AM getting annoyed with the high-frequency radio time some of the songs have started getting. This always happens eventually. I just hope it doesn't effect how much i like the songs!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Timbaland, Shock Value

I go this for christmas and there are alot of songs on it that timbaland is yet to release so its a great chance to learn the lyrics before all your friends =]. Having worked with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and more well known artists, this cd is great becuase you get a mix of songs instead of them all just been sung by one person. Its great for listening to whilst at the gym aswell because there are some upbeat songs. Overall i think its a great buy and recommend it to all r&b lovers. xxVollständige Rezension lesen...

Timbaland - Shock Value

Timbaland has long been respected in the music industry for his imaginative music productions. With this album he has certainly re-affirmed himself as one of the leading song writers out there with thoughtful and powerful collaborations right across the music genre, from rock, rap and pop artists.

Of course ther are some tracks that are not to my taste, but even these have a certain something about them.

The drawback is that you know, at some point down the line every baseball cap wearing Nova driving loon in your local town will be blasting what should be a first class album out of second class speakers deafening all in ear shot!

In the meantime i shall continue to enjoy this excellent album, which will remain in my cd collection for many years to come!

i love the way timbaland mixes beats, the first i heard of him was on justin timberlakes cry me a river and i loved that so i started to listen to him more. i love all his tracks as he has wicked vocalists such as justin and nelly furtado. i really enjoyed this album an recommend it to anyone who likes him.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
