The best option. Better than stainless steel. Worth the cost if you care about it lasting.

I didn't even know Monel was a thing. These are what you need for attaching anything via staples in a a humid or even corrosive environment. Marine grade. Rustproof for boat upholstery

These are great for upholstery work where you don't need the staple to rust and stain the material. Much better price than the local hardware store.
