Solid well built cabinet!
Solid cabinet that's well made. Great extension Amp cabinet for my Peavey Delta Blues Amp. I'll just add 2" additions on each side to match the Amps width, otherwise it's the perfect size to stack the Amp on. Speaker cut out is perfect and it comes with black speaker mounting screws.
You'll need two plugs to solder to the jack leads to connect the speaker, some tolex of choice, and fashion a grill insert. It comes with that fuzzy carpet covering. Just glue the tolex right over it. There's enough space around the speaker once mounted to fashion a grill insert similar to your home stereo speaker,
Unless you have a wood shop, it would be difficult to build one this well and cost you as much if not more then this cost. Comes in a box with no protection other than the cardboard box it's in as pictured below. My only complaint is there's scuffs on the top rear corner protectors and the box was not damaged during shipping at all, so go figure. A little touch up and they would be good, but I'm not using them anyway so no biggy for me. Disappointing yes, but personally no biggy.
This is a well built sturdy cabinet that's ready for your speaker, plug ends to connect it to the jack, and a grill. Covering is fine the way it is if black fuzzy carpet is to your liking. Great Speaker Cabs IMO!
Basic empty 1x15" cab add a little elbow grease and a few accessories like a metal grill, etc. you have as good a cab as any but at a considerable savings. And the speaker hole is not overly large like many others I have bought in the past leaving only an edge of plywood to catch your screws, and usually breaking out a corner or two! These were done right! The 15" speaks fit the hole perfectly with a minimum of side play! And these cabs are made of %100 plywood NOT MDF, or particle board like so many others out there! These are great cabs, and the price is pretty amazing as well! YES I highly recommend them to everyone wanting top quality at a great savings, and can add their own grills and speakers!
