Woks okay but needs better installation instructions

Works well, but only giving this 4 stars as doesn't come with any instructions or clues for wiring, or whether jumper should be set to 12v or 24v despite being advertised as a replacement for the Wessex Liftboy garage door opener. My WLB door opener is very old and the existing receiver wire colours were completely different, so I had to spend some time researching on the internet and eventually found it from suppliers of similar products. It is 24v by the way.

I wanted to keep using my old remote, so I wired new one in parallel so that both old and new receivers both work. I've attached before and after pics of wiring in case any use to anyoneVollständige Rezension lesen

Lost the remote to my wessex lift boy and was quoted hundreds of pounds to firs replace the full unit then to just fit new receiver and remote. foud this product so though i would give it a go for the money. Had to do a bit of research to figure the 12v or 24v then a bit more to figure the wiring out but had all that done and installed in less than 20minits. Good... Could make use of the remote buttons better

Great unit

Upgrade kit for Cardale Autoglide Garage

As an experienced DIY enthusiast, I fitted the unit one month ago and it has performed flawlessly since.

Instead of connecting the unit to the Autoglide's power supply, on the advice of an electronics engineer, I used an appropriately rated external power supply unit he recommended.

Good remote replacement, fairly easy to set up

I'm very much an amateur electrical fiddler, but this was actually reasonably simple to wire up to my Seceuroglide door opener - once I'd figured out where the 24v terminals were. Then it was just a case of pairing the supplied remotes, and it worked perfectly! The instructions aren't especially clear, but they did suffice.

This was a lot cheaper than tracking down the original remotes, if they can be found. And the original remotes still work alongside the new ones - recommended.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Easy to apply

Needed to augment an existing gate controller where I could no longer get the remotes. Tapped into the power on the gate controller and put the new receiver in parallel with the old one so the old remotes and the new ones worked.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Easy to replace

Excellent replacement once you work out the jumper power settng easy to instal. The remote is very small - ok for a key fob or pocket but small so we have attached a large fob to not lose it in house. Came with 2 remotes which edged it over other rivals.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Wouldn't work

Product seemed well made with sophisticated micro-electronics but, unfortunately, this particular item appeared to have a fault and wouldn't do what it was supposed to do and so had to be returned.
