This is perfect for re-profiling a severely chipped knife. Very quick and easily sharpened to razor edge using stones up to 5,000 grit. Quite satisfied with the ability of this stone and the price.

If you need a flat stone then buy this

Super flat and stays flat. The 140 grit cuts fast. I use it to sharpen plane irons and chisels in combination with the 400 and 1200 grit. As with every diamond stone it tends to smoothen out.
