Amazing mix of music, sends you right back to the year you 1st heard it. This digital remade copy has amazing sound , loved all the tracks when this was original & its excellent now ..Soft Cell always had the catchy tunes you want to sing along to. Love this cd. Much more than just "Tainted Love".....

Soft Cell's first album is a fusion of Northern Soul, Soho, and synth pop with a large dose of Ecstasy (discovered in New York....the follow-up's title gave it away). Dave Ball's sparse but never cold keyboards coupled with Marc Almond's unmistakeable voice and lyrics covering everything from boredom with suburbia, adult films, broken love affairs, growing up and...erm...sex dwarves will draw you in and are what made Non Stop Erotic Cabaret stand out from the competition. Tainted Love is the commercial high point but the other singles - Bedsitter and the gorgeous Say Hello, Wave Goodbye (covered without the feeling by David Gray) - deserve equal praise. Be warned it's much darker than Tainted Love would lead you to believe but open your eyes and your ears and you'll keep playing this over and over again. For me Almond and Morrissey guided me through those teenage years and many years on I love this album still. Start here then move on to The Art of Falling Apart.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Soft Cell - Non Stop Erotic Cabaret

I bought this title just so I could have Sex Dwarf in hi-quality. I went to K-17 in Berlin last winter and they spun this track in the club and this old vampire was sway-dancing and it was amazing. I was planning on buying NSEC on vinyl, and thought I had, but I suppose I hadn't read the item description well enough because lo and behold - I received it in CD format. I was expecting this to be the original tracks but the newer re-mixes had been substituted on some which I hate. I loved the original soft cell stuff..... not Marc Almonds re-releases in the 90's.

Fantastic classic album, excellent quality, good buy.

What can I say? Great album, really love it reminds me of my teenage days!! Great artist, go get it.

Fantastic album by the all time number one Electronica Band.

Soft Cells songs are as fresh today as they were back in the day.

Tainted Love still stands the test of time, as do Say Hello, wave Goodbye & Bedsitter.

soft cell memories bought back

AB-FAB. Bought memories of my youth was able to remember all the words. the cd is very clear and i was able to pick up sounds on the cd that i missed on the LP. well recomended for old fans and new who was not around in their hayday.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
