Base not flat, beware.
Bit disappointed that the base is not flat, it has a rim around it, so it won't boil on our woodburner. When I tested it on our gas hob, the whistle only works when it is really boiling hard, I think the hole is too big, The handle is plastic too, which I didn't realise, but we angle it away from our flue and so far it hasn't melted.
