Another bike chain.

It's a bike chain and with a 7.3mm pin length it has good gear changing properties especially when married to a Shimano gear train. Bike chains are an enigma They are made out of metal and so there has to be a compromise between metal hard wearing properties and flexibility. Oil is also an enigma It has to be fluid enough to try to run back into the spaces that the Gear Train and Sprocket teeth made when in contact with the bike chain rollers creating wear and not too sticky that all debris sticks to it creating an effective grinding paste. Oil has one redeeming quality it slows down the oxidisation of the metal (rusting) and it is this property that has more to protecting a bike chain from wear than anything else.

Good Hard wearing without being silly priced

Done about 500 miles before stretching to the point where it lifts from the chainring still works well on old school maillard freewheel and well used campagnolo double 42/52 rings will have to send for another chain of same make soon v good value for moneyVollständige Rezension lesen...

Chain good, master link hard to use

Chain seems good but I found the master link impossible to use, item arrived in good time

good quality

The chain is of good quality , works great on my ageing MTB which i am refurbishing , seems to move through the gears with a smooth motion , my only little gripe was the connecting link was a little bit fiddley

Good chain but not what I ordered.

Good chain but having spent time making sure I ordered a 114 link chain they sent a 116 link one. Not wanting to go to the effort of returning the chain I found a chain link remover and shortening it myself. Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Rename this product 'impossible master link puzzle' and sell to Hipsters.

I think it's an excellent product, nice and overlong so there's a few spare links top play with.

my only grumble-

when I finally got the chain in place ready to insert the master link, the link provided in the kit did not fit neatly, (or at all) never got to the bottom of why. I eventually managed to get round it by using a discarded link. But this problem drove me insane.

I would advise anyone to avoid removing the chain, it's too much of a headache generator. Without YouTube advice I would not have survived the experience.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

I change my chain quite frequently I've been using this shimano as default as its cheep and good quality.
