Works well but be careful not to lose it when carrying your camera on a neck strap

Fits well and does a good job of blocking stray light from the viewfinder. It also keeps my glasses from getting scratched.

The eyecup needs to be removed to open the camera back. It stays in place during normal use but be careful when carrying your camera on a neck strap. The eyecup can be knocked off if the camera rubs against your body.when walking. I've lost two of them this way. I now store the eyecup in a pocket if I'm hiking a distance.

The simplest things are least regarded

Eye cups are the least regarded and most overlooked accessory. With a diopter in place to compensate for the vision in the shooting/taking eye(if you wear glasses and want to take them off while shooting), it can isolate and focus the composition of your subject with zero distraction. Combine this with a camera whose viewfinder is uncluttered by any other read out, i.e., aperture, shutter speed, meter reading, and you are face to face with the most barebones experience of picture taking. Given your intention and motivation, these read outs can play a very important part of the shot. But if you want to learn to see what's in front of you, an eyecup might help. Prevent glare from the sides of the viewfinder.

Does the job as I expected it to. Good value. Freight cost more than the product, which is why I bought 3 at once - 2 for my cameras and 1 spare.

This performs as designed. However, it is not designed like other attachments to the eyepiece. All soft rubber with no hard plastic or metal to slide into eyepiece. But, it seems to work ok.
