faintly old
It reminds me of those big cakes of harsh stinky greasy soap my Greandmother use to make so many years ago, except this soap isn't harsh and stinky and greasy. Like so many nostalgic things, it helps us remember the good while forgetting the bad. Like the privy. Today they seem quaint and somehow attractive. But boy, if you have the runs at four in the morning and the temperature outside is below zero, you appreciate modern plumbing. Still, I like the privy we built over at our cabin, especially on a nice spring day, the sun a shinin, the birds a cherpin, me sittin in the privy, door open, facin the woods to the south, all day to sit there if I want.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Don't trust anything else
For my sensitive skin, I have been using this soap exclusively for over 2 years and buying on eBay is where the best deal is. I buy 5 bars at a time and it lasts a few months. There is no fragrance, no drying, no residue- just clean, pure, natural soap. Even on open wounds (excema) it does not sting or aggravate things. I will never use anything else. Real actual soap, no additives
This has only three ingredients. I occasionally noticed that my regular body wash wasn't completely ridding me of sweat smell from my arm pits, and I sometimes get a rash there. This soap cleared that up immediately, no lingering smell and no irritated skin. It has a weird smell because there are no added scents but it doesn't bother me. Lye soap is good
Lye soap is good for insect bites, sunburrn, poison ivy. It makes my skin so soft. I was amazed when I first tried it on a bad sunburn I received the burn was gone after my shower. Has reduced the amount of body lotion that I use too.. Vollständige Rezension lesen

A SIMPLE, NATURAL CLEAN

Great Stuff.
This lye soap has become our primary soap in the shower. My wife loves it! Says her skin is softer.
We have very hard water in AZ, and this leaves your skin squeaky clean, and cleans tour hands after an oil change better than Lava.
Even gave out cat that has irritable skin a bath with it.
Plus, it is not soft like regular bar soap. It lasts a long time.

Love it
I bought this for my daughter-in-law. She gets poison ivy every year and lye soap seems to help dry it up. She tried this soap and loved it! She said it made her skin feel so soft.
