Goes on lightly, protects & improves adhesion

These have worked especially well through a pregnancy and subsequent c-section in protecting my ridiculously dry, irritated, stretched-to-the-limit skin! Last pregnancy I was going through appliances like underwear- almost daily! That’s also NOT great for the skin. This go round, I used these along with a flange with some convexity and a tape barrier. I also used a seal-product (Sure Seal) as I swim often and the combination kept everything secure (longer lasting, actually) and my skin calmed right down, as well. Even with the crazy stomach issues during a pregnancy, these protected my skin and improved adhesion. Even with the seal (I applied these outside of the tape boundary to protect where the seals apply also) keeping my skin from breathing as much, my irritation healed and removal was easy and not-painful! Great hold and easy on the skin!

Over the past few years, I've tried multiple barrier wipes with mixed success. Most provide the extra hold for the appliance; but don't really qualify as a "protective wipe" since a portion of my skin tears off when the appliance is removed. I've found that only AllKare wipes have added the extra skin protection and added adherence without removing any skin upon removal of the appliance!! These work great!

I have tried several brands of Protective Barrier Wipes with my ileostomy wafers, but none other create a more tacky surface for the new wafer to adhere to than these AllKare by ConvaTec. They are the perfect size with the right amount of solution in each pad to do a great job. I use other ConvaTec products and feel the same about each one of them.Vollständige Rezension lesen

ConvaTec AllKare Protective Barrier Wipes

For anyone that has to wear an Ostomy bag, these are the best skin prep wipes I've found so far.

not great

it is sticky but does not hold condom catheter on for more than 8 to 12 hours .. but I will use them as it is the only to hold them on for now
