On-Stage TM08 Deluxe Podium Flange Mount with Rubber Base Black #TM08B

This one is poorly assembled.

Mounted to side of podium. When short mini-boom screwed down to lock it to the base the screw threaded area on the base turned inside the flanged base with the mini-boom and is useless for holding the mic where it belongs. I am fairly sure this is a lemon, but totally a waste of money and time! Further examination shows no evidence of a weld, or even a punch marking between the two parts of the base assembly to make sure that this problem does not occur, so be careful with this. It looks solid and well made, but it failed before I ever got a mic mounted to it.
If they are all alike, then they are garbage.
UPDATE: 06-22-2017 I purchased another, smaller table/podium mount, and upon receiving it decided to see if staking the flange that the is inside the base might work on this failing part. I placed the assembly in a vice carefully, and using a sharp edged flat blade, I drove four stake points and it appeared to be locked tightly then. I ALSO applied a small amount of Gorilla Epoxy to the staked area and let it set for 24 hours.
Today I attached it again, and it worked well for a service of about 2 hours, as I was removing the mic boom from it, once again it failed to hold and allow the boom to be removed. I removed the assembly from the podium AGAIN, and mounted the slightly smaller On Stage TMO2B mount and it works perfectly. No slippage with it! I have a friend who I may see if he can weld the one that failed, but I see NO VA:LUE if you have to re-manufacture the item! In my OPINION this is junk designed, and yet made from quality material. I cannot recommend that anyone buy this and rely on it.

STURDY and WELL BUILT.

This mounting plate is able to support a two pound microphone with no difficulty. I am using it in my HAM Radio station to support a heavy EV mike , whit it does easily.

I needed something to attach to the ceiling for a studio microphone and this works perfectly and was just what I needed!

These are real flat and super black. For mics. Bring your own screws to put them on something and then put a mic on it, silly.
