7/8" Check Valve For Speedaire & Sears Air Compressors Brass

Good replacement for an obsolete valve--buy it!

I purchased this valve for an old Sears compressor that would not hold a full pressure load. The old valve was failing and would often stick open letting the compressor unload valve draw down much of the tank's pressure level.

This unit works perfectly in this application though it looks significantly different from the original aluminum bodied valve. I used a 1/8" plug to close the side aperture (not needed in my application) and I added an o-ring on the main 7/8" threads to seal along with the copper washer. I also used thread sealant. I had no leaking when fully assembled, and the valve works exactly as it should, retaining the main pressure charge in the tank and allowing the compressor unload valve to vent when the compressor stops running.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Good Part , Great Quality

These check valves fit the older style sears compressors great . The original valves are aluminum and corrode into the tank and have a rather cheap design to them but these new styles are fantastic. Just be sure to order the 1/8 pipe plugs to go with them if your doesn't use the bleed off line. Great material . Seal lasts a lot longer than factory style . Bad design, no way to service

Works as it should but I hate how you can't take it apart because of the way they crimped the side that contains the spring and the Teflon seal. If a piece of dirt gets stuck between that seal, you can't effectively clean it like you're able to with most other check valves. The worst thing is that this is the only kind that's available for the 7/8" thread size for the tank inlet. Right on the money with description.

Good fit. Needs modification to the feed tube but is easy fix.

Works great

Works great as it should. There was a slight leak underneath the copper washer. A little honing to my tank fitting corrected the leak. I wish I had a torque spec to not over tighten the value.
