Bought this book for my husband who is a great fan of author really enjoyed it

First novel with Charlie taking a back seat

I admit I am a fan of the Charlie Parker series by John Connolly.
This is his first book where Parker is indisposed and it is up to Louis and Angel to complete the task in hand to destroy a cult living in the aptly named small town of Prosperous.
As usual well written and a page turner. It is good to see the old baddies appear and make their mark as they generally contribute hugely to this series.
It got only four, and not five stars, as the ending is somewhat predictable and hurried as compared to the rest of the book; a common failing with almost all crime genre novelists.

Addictive author

I love John Connolly'S books very addictive once you have read one you will want to read all Unlike any other authors

Secretive

Up there with the best of Connolly's Charlie Parker novels and I would recommend it to anyone with a pulse. It is a truly riveting read.
