Great Tree Pruner
This pruner is light weight and easy to use. I am quite tall for a woman and it is just the correct length for my gardening needs. A good buy!

Would I recommend it?
Yes for light use, and it's very good for purpose.
No - because the cord keeps breaking.
Is it good value?
A tad on the expensive side, but outweighed by the fact that it does a really good job. I am now on my third one and only continue to buy this product as I can't find an equal.
Is it good quality?
The shaft and cutting head last very well. The cord does not, which renders the equipment inoperable.
Most conventional loppers have an external cord mechanism for operating the cutting head. I have found this to be very awkward, getting tangled in other branches & making it difficult to reach the one you are aiming for; sometimes the entire lopper getting stuck & left dangling in a tree!
The UP53 differs in that the cord is contained within the shaft, eliminating the problems I have described above.
The problem I have is that this cord eventually frays & snaps. I have purchased cord for £2.97, but found it impossible to open & repair the loppers. The loppers cost £45.
I have now spent £135 on three of these loppers which is outrageous compared to the the cost of the cord I need to make a repair.
Also, the environmental impact of such a hard material going into landfill is outrageous - just because the manufacturers have designed it to be unrepairable.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Easy To Use
Wish I had bought this product before now. I am a 5ft 2 female so struggle with anything high, this pruner is so light & easy to use. I have only used it once so far but did a great job of cutting through branches on tree. It won't cut really thick branches but I was very impressed with what it did cut. IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE CABLE - disposable item that will end up in landfill in no time. AVOID
I'm buying this to replace one that I borrowed and the cable snapped whilst cutting a branch. It was so complicated to just swop the cable out I had to replace the whole thing.
What a waste. More landfill is not what we need, we need products that can be repaired when they break.
In this day and age disposable products that have no longevity should be replaced by ones that have designed out waste and pollution. As such I can not recommend this product.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Misleading length in title
Just used the pruner and it works great,I especially like the adjustable end so that I can cut brambles off at ground level with ease.
The pruner is only 1.6 Mtrs long although it clearly states 3.5Mtrs, the latter is only valid when you take your added height into the equation!

Does the job
It is what I needed to reach the higher branches. I have only given it a quick try so can not be more specific, I will know more when it is time for serious pruning.
It has very sharp blades.

Lightweight easy to handle
This Anvil Tree Pruner is ideal for ladies, although not as robust as the larger pruner, not able to buy spare parts for repairs, it is light and easy to handle, therefore making it manageable for lighter people.
