Great replacement for OEM
Original cable from my iCOM 2730a was cut by car dealer without my permission when I traded in my old car, this cable did the job, feels sturdy like the OEM Cable.

wire size is too small.
The information on this plug and wire assembly indicates it is suitable for use with an Icom-IC-V8000. I have that radio and it says you should have a minimum of a 15 amp source with 20 amp fuzes. This cable assembly is 14 guage wire and I'm not sure of the fuze size, but normally it takes a minimum of a 12 guage wire to carry 15+ amps and not have voltage drop. The assembly that came with my radio is 12 guage and I wanted the same thing to have more than one location to plug in the radio.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Works for me.
Not a lot you can say about a power cord. We got it fast, it fits, it has heavy duty wire and dual fuses. Oh, and bonus feature, the radio did not blow up when I plugged it in.

What The OEM Should Have Included!

GOOD useful cable for most Icom radios.
Perfect fit for the Icom IC-208 and the newer IC-2730A, and similar. My only concern it that the actual copper wire looks thinner than I'd like to see. True 12 AWG wire would make it great.

DC POWER CABLE
Is working fine, is of sufficient length for most mobile installations. Wire size should be sufficient for the wattage of most 2 meter mobile radios.
