Sturdy and good quality
This is a very sturdy and good quality item for the price, which was very reasonable. It will probably last for many years. The only reason for taking off one star, is that when I removed the tag holding the tongs shut, they sprung open so far, and are so strong, that I have to use both hands to squeeze them together enough to pick up food from a pan, which makes it difficult and quite hazardous if the pan contains hot oil for example, because first it is difficult to maintain a hard grip for long enough to pick up the food, and second if you relax your grip only very slightly, it is very easy to drop it back in the oil and splash yourself. (Ask me how I know). They do not have enough spring in them to make them easy to use. (For me). If you are a man with a barbecue or a woman with a very strong grip, they would be fantastic as the plates are larger than normal.
