I purchased 10 of these. I have a one-man cabinet shop and have used Blumotion undermount slides in several of my kitchen cabinet builds. I have not used Blumotion hinges.
I ran into a client who expressed concern about a cabinet door with a stained glass panel slamming shut, and I suggested the Blumontion Soft Close unit. I then ordered the 10 and proceeded to test them in my own kitchen. I've only been using them for two weeks now. I find that it has taken me and my family some time to get used to letting the cabinet doors go a few inches before they are closed to enable the Soft-Close to engage and do the work. We tend to close the door and encounter resistance against the unit until remembering to simply "let go" of it. I question if, over time, that and the normal stresses/pressures of the door against the unit will weaken the rail-stile joint above the hinge or end up marring at the unit-door contact point. It is too early to tell. When used as intended, it is a nice add-on feature and the doors do indeed close softly.Vollständige Rezension lesen

soft closer dampers
We installed 37 of these wonderful dampers. The only reason we could not install the last two of 39 is that the doors over the fridge are so short that the screws holding the cabinet in place and the present hinges take up the necessary space for the closers. Excellent to retrofit cabinet doors
These add Soft Close feature to existing cabinet doors. I installed 48 on cabinet doors in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry. They make the cabinets feel more upscale with the nice controlled soft closing. No more having cabinet doors slip and slam closed. They are very easy to install and adjust for rate of how fast the final few inches of cabinet door closure.

Great idea!
It is a very good product and works well for the most part. The cabinet doors close very quietly. I wasn't able to install some of them because the cabinet hardware got in the way. Work like a charm.
Don’t waste your time or money with the products at the big box stores. They’re garbage. These are great! Easy to install and widely adjustable. My kitchen is nice and quiet now.

A little pricey but this damper is mostly metal and should last, as well as adjustable. Very easy to install.

Blumotion Soft-Close kit
Easy to install. These soft closers initially take a little getting used to, but now we absolutely love them! You will not be disappointed.

no more slams!
Excellent product. Exactly as described. If you have cabinet doors that tend to slam, you need these. They install in 30 seconds. Doors now close softly. Highly recommend.

So Far, So Good
I've had these on bath cabinets for several years, working well. Recently added to many kitchen doors and they work like a charm. If your hinges lack much spring from use, I'd suggest trying a couple first.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Works fantastic for face frame cabinets. Blum has similar product for the European style cabinets.
