SONY TEKTRONIX WFM1125 HDTV WAVEFORM MONITOR

I bought a waveform monitor that doesn't work!

The Tektronics Company (now owned by Sony) has an impressive and wonderful history of engineering and building the Best electronic testing and measuring devices in the world. A lot has changed in broadcasting standards and video measurement over the last decade or two of the present century. Tektronics, as an engineering company, has kept-up with the pace of this change, but for the "lower-end market" their backwards compatibility, like other manufacturers, has been poor. My recently purchased monitor displays NOTHING at all inputs; no waveforms and no vector displays. It will not display standard definition signals!
