An epic and outstanding modern classic that goes back to its routes
Having seen the trailers for this, both the teaser and the main trailer, I felt that this movie had the promise of being the one I would like so far, and the biggest bonus was that it starred Cailee Spaeny, who I had only seen a bit of up the then. After seeing the movie at the cinema, I was completely bowled over. It turned out to be my favourite Alien movie thus far.
I had no interest in the two previous movies, Resurrection or Covenant, and as much as I like Alien and Aliens, I am not a massive fan of either, since I have them on U.S. blu ray, but don't look at them that much. The biggest reason for this is that I am no fan of Ripley. Then, Alien: Romulus comes along and stars someone totally different, someone I like, and not only that, but the movie returned to its routes, and there you go, we get an instant classic.
I was delighted for all of those involved that this movie enjoyed the success that it did. It deserved it. I loved it so much that I wanted to order it as soon as possible. I did fear to begin with that it would not get a blu ray release, but thankfully it did, and it has become my joined favourite standout movie of the year. And of course, Cailee Spaeny is just brilliant.
I have so far see this, including at the cinema, five times, four times on my blu ray, and want to see it again and again.

Alien: Romulus
This addition to the Alien universe is excellent!
It's a nice addition to my collection. New characters and a new story makes this movie a gem.
