Not rechargeable
I bought this as a rechargeable lamp. It even said rechargeable on the packaging when receiving it . Apparently the rechargeable battery pack is sold separately for £30!

Sensibly shaped lantern
Very practical bright lantern, stable on a table, but also good to hang up somewhere high. Only trouble is the on/off switch - in the dark you can't find it to switch it on, and when it's on, it's so bright you can't find it to switch it off!
