MXG racing seat cover fitment
I purchased this seat cover a while ago pending a 2001 CR 250 R rebuild. Finally now I have come to fit the cover, although stated that it is cut to fit the specific bike, the fit is just poor. After a whole afternoon of following the instructions and countless retry’s I just couldn’t get the wrinkles out.
The problem, the material is heavy duty and would wear well but it has hardly any compliance, there not enough ‘give’ in the material to allow a good fit. If the actual seat was ‘flatter’ in profile, I.e. from back to front then I think the cut of the material would have conformed better, but with the amount of front it back curve in the 2001 CR seat there was just now way the wrinkles in the Center part of the seat were going to be removed.
May fit other bikes better and is good quality in the material but a terrible fit on this particular bike that has a good condition seat base.
Just a point to note, this is more a manufacturing issue, not the fault of the seller.Vollständige Rezension lesen...
