Farberware 50002 Silver Classic Series Stainless Steel Covered Saucepan 2 Qt.

Nice saucepan but a bit different than the classic Farberware Saucepan

This is a bit taller and narrower than the classic Farberware saucepan that I replaced. The lid will not interchange with my old pieces. The metal seems to be just as heavy. The bottom aluminum clad has a seam between the main pan body and the bottom aluminum part - it can catch food. My old pan was seamless and easier to clean when there are spills or if cooking runs over. But all in all, for the price, I think I will get many years of service from this new saucepan. Farberware is still the best.

I have had Farberware for years. I was glad I was still able to add another 2 qt. saucepan to my collection. Over the years I have had gas cooking, electric with coils and now a glass top cooktop. Always worked well on all 3 features.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Good pan; Watch the sizing

If you are trying to match sizes with older models, beware. Farberware makes lots of the same volume pans in different shapes, so your other inserts won't always fit. Outside of that, these are durable pans that handle everything except hugely hot burners when they burn dry. Sometimes the black handles get loose but they can be easily tightened. The pans clean up well from burned-on foods and mixing paint. Always my favored saucepan.

I like the vertical sides, so the bottom contacts the entire electric element on my stove.

The bottom transmits heat very well

The stainless steel is easy to clean, unless you burn it too badly

Hard to find size

Classic Farberware Saucepan

This product is great quality, durable and long lasting. It is always easy to clean and looks like new after years of washings. Terrific size for preparing family size dishes.

Different material

It would appear that the Farberware Classic Series of cookware has lessened its quality of material used. It is very lightweight as compared to the original set I had--and although it is a 2 quart saucepan, the pan is deeper and narrower than the original--which is not problem unless you are attempting to match an original lid to the pan. I would probably NOT buy another piece to replace part of my original set---better off buying an entirely new set and not Farberware.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Great quality

I have been using Farberware cookware for about 40 years and I am very pleased with them. They do not warp or discolor like some other brands. The outer finish remains shiny and the bottoms remain flat. That's especially important if you have a glass cooktop stove.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Perfect cookware
