Works Well

Not quite the fit & finish of way overpriced Stihl, but it worked well. You have to cut the spark plug wire to length but it's not hard - just remove the spark plug boot and move the spring coil to the new location. We'll see if it lasts.

Coil wire too short ( Stihl 034 AV)

Coil wire is 2” too short. Had to file new access slot in cover to reroute wire. Where the coil wire exits the coil, the cap is too high so the hard 90 turn out of the coil is TIGHT. I made this replacement work, but the average buyer may not be as lucky. I have a Stihl 034 AV. The saw runs fine at a fifth of the cost of a genuine Stihl coil.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Price is good. Product bolted in perfectly. Chainsaw started right up and running good ever since.

my coil had three points of contact one ...

my coil had three points of contact one at each end and the one in the middle. I took the plug wire off yours and installed it on mine my plug wire was broken, it worked.

The plug terminal fell out, but I was able to make it work. Be sure to put some dielectric grease in there first, and always twist and pull to remove in the future.

Modernize your old style ignition.

This is for replacement of the old style coil that uses points and condensor. Simply cut the existing wires coming off the points and condensor and install this modern electronic style and hook up the kill wire to it and put the saw back together. Works but not a quality product.

Its poor quality. The part that grips the spark plug top is like a spring vs a typical metal band. When you remove it from the spark plug it pulls out and discontorts.
