Bright, warm and easy on the fingers

For me, these strings bridge the difference between phosphor bronze and silk and steel. On my guitars and through my ears, these silk and bronze strings are less "bright and chimey" than phosphor bronze and less mellow and warm than silk and steel strings. They are softer and more "silky" feeling on my fretting fingers than phosphor bronze but less so than silk and steel. The key for me though, is the gauge difference, particularly on the 4th string. My D28 and my D41 both are prone to buzzing with D strings lighter than .030" and these are .032". Overall, great sound, especially for my finger picking style and smooth, easy playability. Unfortunately there is a price penalty when compared to either of my usual choices, but the strings are worth it for my style of play in my opinion.
