Could Make Your Own but Why Bother?

This is a very simple device but for those who can use it, it's obvious utility is clear. The price is not excessive bought new and if found for less (on Ebay): so much the better. Most people who are "handy" and particularly those with woodworking skills and tools could very easily build their own version of this but the time invested would probably be large enough to make this pre-fab unit a bargain. used this stand today toload cap and ball revolver so much easery than trying to hold the revolver and load to love the stand

Does not quite fit 1858

The 1858 pistol would not stand up at a 90 degrees and sit in the groove. A smaller 1851 navy fit well. So I moved the hinges so my pistol would display properly.

Poor quality and value.

Cheap materials, especially the hinge. Given there are only 3 parts it was not put together well.

Simplicity at its best.

Great and simple little stand that won't eclipse the revolver your displaying. The price is so low it's honestly not worth putting it together yourself.
