Digital Stream Dtx9950 Analog Pass-through Dtv Converter

Will not work without original DVT remote

This digital converter box is useless without the manufacturer remote that comes with original purchase. A universal remote is useless with this unit. I called 866-number on the box and was given the information on how to purchase remote. It will cost about twenty bucks. So I still don't know how this box works. I bought it for 15 bucks on Ebay. If the remote is twenty bucks and I only wanted the converter box to use on a 13 inch analogue TV in my kitchen- it's not worth the money. Since I can buy a brand new converter box (of another brand) with remote for the same price.
