Good quality but no noticeable effect.
I put one of these in my stainless steel gas kettle and I don't think it's made too much difference to the amount of scale that builds up. The stainless steel mesh does accumulate scale so perhaps it prevents some build up in the kettle but nothing I'd notice. I use a chemical de-scaler which removes most of the scale in the kettle and all the scale on the pad.
I've kept this mesh pad in my kettle but I wouldn't bother with another one. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone if they're hoping it'll eliminate kettle scale as it doesn't. It costs very little of course so I suppose it's OK on that score - but not even then if it doesn't have any noticeable effect. Vollständige Rezension lesen

Simple way
So far I’ve not noticed much difference but then it’s only been a short time.
The questions above aren’t relevant to the product.
Q1 haven’t noticed that the kettle boils any quicker
Q2 don’t handle it.
Q3 too early to say but hopefully yes

A very good Kettle De-scaler
I live in a hard water area, and limescale build-up in my kettles before I bought this kettle de-scaler was really bad. However, since I put this de-scaler in the kettle, there is a noticeable improvement. It keeps the kettle clean, and I can’t taste limescale in my coffee any longer. Descaler
Does what it says on the tin, so to speak. Only comment would be no info about its life span - it is quite thin compared to ones I had years ago - so not sure how long it will last before ?I need a replacement but for the price it’s ok.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Easy to use
Thought I would see if there was a difference to how quick my kettle scaled up ..... it did make a difference but still had to use descaler as Well . Still worth a try

I can't really tell whether it's helping with my kettle. I still see limescale building on the bottom but it's possible it's catching some of it. Perhaps it works better when you boil a lot of water. It works so well
I have always used this type of descaler in my kettles however this brand is one of the best I've used so far, it's very good quality for the money paid

Before using this product i would recomm...
Before using this product i would recommend descaling your kettle first then put in one of these wire fur collectors, it seems to keep the lime scale away.

Scale preventer
It works reasonably well as I live in a very hard water area and this takes up about 90% of the limescale that before would have stuck to the kettle. So in that respect it works well.
