A good personal view of war making men consider their morals and honesty.

How do women feel when they are surrounded by soldiers?
Does survival change your moralities?
As a man reading this book there are feelings of disgust, shame, understanding of what war does to a man and a real question - what would I do?
A shame Martha Hiller died before she allowed this book to be published. She could have been embarrassed but she would have stood out as a great survivor and a great hero to many women both at that time and all the wars that have been waged in the world since.

Very compelling reading

Well written and very descriptive of women surviving towards end of WW2 in Berlin. Could be made into a good film.
