AirTurn PED

Call me disappointed....

I have been playing bass guitar regularly for 50+ years. About five months ago I began to put my music (rhythm) charts onto an Acer tablet rather than continuing to use paper charts on a music stand. It has worked well except for when I need to move ahead or back a page in a section when taking my right hand off the bass to swipe the tablet is a problem for maintaining the groove. After some research, I decided an AirTurn PED was the solution. Wrong, at least so far. The problem is that is unreliable. Sometimes I'll have to step on it more than once to turn the page and then sometimes it will jump ahead two or three pages at once and if you're playing at 130 bpm, that's a PROBLEM. And forget about it if the PED is on a carpet or your shoes have soft soles. It simply doesn't work. Hard floors and hard sole shoes are a MUST. I keep thinking "maybe it just needs some breaking in," but on each of the 3 or 4 gigs I've tried it so far, I've quit using it and gone back to swiping with my finger. I hate to give a bad report, but I know when I'm reading a review I want honesty. I'm going to try it another time or two before giving up and looking for something that's reliable. It's a clean design and a great price but if it isn't reliable, it's not worth anything to me.Vollständige Rezension lesen

Excellent! Make your smart phone a Teleprompter!

I bought one of these to see if I could use it as a teleprompter with my iphone in my Black Sabbath tribute band. I take nerve pain medication so sometimes my memory is affected. I thought about buying one of those big PC Monitor type teleprompters like the stadium touring bands use, then somebody told me to try a teleprompter app first. I found one called Setlists, and it works great, the only problem was I play guitar also so I couldn't keep reaching up to swipe to the next page. Enter the AirTurn PED. All I did was turn it on and pair it with my iphone's Bluetooth, opened up Setlists and voila! Works perfect! What more can I say?Vollständige Rezension lesen

Unpredictable

When using this unit with PC Notebook via Bluetooth primarily for flipping pages of PDF files in Acrobat, it often seems to lose the signal and stops working. This is aggravating when making presentations before audiences.
I've gone back to using a Bluetooth mouse from the podium for this task.

Effective for page turning with for score on iPad Pro

This is all I use it for, I like that has a battery power indicator. I’ve only had it for a month and slowly been integrating it into my classical guitar gigs, mostly weddings and other type events, seems to work fine.
