Great and the best table ever.. and don't buy other brand, is not that good

When this was first announced I thought it looked great and it was certainly a fun and funky novelty, but I couldn't fully see the point. But then when the hype had died down a bit, I used one....

The first thing you notice is the impressive display, as soon as you see it you are compelled to touch it and the responsiveness is incredible. It responds with precision to every finger flick and you can glide between the screens with ease. I was dubious about using the onscreen keyboard but it holds up well. The keyboard is easy to see and (perhaps more importantly) easy to type on. Turning the iPad re-alligns the screen so you can view things in landscape or portrait. If you've used an iPod Touch or an iPhone then you'll be familiar with the two fingered zooming in and out, this is great when viewing photographs or when web-browsing.

Web-browsing should be a disappointment, the lack of Flash support is infamous and cited as the main iPad flaw. I was ready to criticise it but I have to admit that I was impressed and found web browsing to be a very enjoyable experience. Like most other Apple Mac products it feels intuitive and without reading a manual or receiving a demo you already instinctively know how to use it - and for an item of high-technology that's a rare a pleasant thing.

This device is best used along with a standard laptop or desktop Mac/PC to synchronise with iTunes and so that you have a main machine for file storage, but if you find yourself baffled by technology and struggle with a laptop then this could be the perfect solution if all you want to do is a bit of web browsing. My dad has a cheap laptop which takes an age to boot up, takes a further age to get on the internet, pops up many confusing messages about conflicting software, and crashes - often. All my dads needs his laptop for is web access but the poor experience it provides means that he has since given up - for him the iPad would be perfect.

There is a standard set of apps which come installed on the device, you can't remove them and to be honest you wouldn't want to. They have been incredibly well developed and have a strong pedigree now as they have lived on other portable Apple products for the last few years. The range of apps available for the iPad is nothing short of fantastic, and every time you check the AppStore there's more! There are thousands of free apps, and plenty which cost only few pence. Once you've searched for Apps and added them to your iPad you have a fully customised device tailored to your own tastes and requirements. Whether you want utilities or games you cannot fail to find things you like. To be honest, the iPad is a worthwhile gadget purely on the basis of the AppStore alone!

Apple have created a gadget which isn't quite a laptop and is more than a tablet PC - it's a new class of gadget which can easily fit in with your lifestyle and become a device you find yourself using every day. You can read books on it (the iBook app is a great virtual bookcase), surf the web, or even watch TV (via the BBC iPlayer!).

In a nutshell: If you're buying this as a laptop replacement then you may be a bit disappointed if you're wanting to do a heavy amount of word-processing, spreadsheets, photo manipulation - the sort of thing you can only really do well on a `proper' computer. Well priced, beautifully crafted, versatile and incomprehensibly brilliant.

Easily the best purchase I have made in the last 12 months. I can not praise the iPad enough, it goes everywhere with me and does everything I need it to do. Maybe Apple could sort out a deal with Adobe and get flash on here but that's just being picky. Ive almost always got a wi-fi spot when I go somewhere, but if I haven't then I've got the 'personal hotspot' on my iPhone so I literally always have a wi-fi spot. The display is a,axing and as long as you condition the battery properly (use it right down to single figures and then charge it to full and repeat) then it lasts for ages. I contemplated getting one of these for months, and looked into other tablets but ultimately this one always came out on top, but now I just see those months as time wasted that I could've been spending on my iPad. It has so many cool features such as the split keyboard for thumb typing and the 4 finger swipe to flick between apps. The first thing I did was to buy a smart cover and a plastic screen protector which have proved very useful thus far. I own a desktop also and needed something smaller for when I was out of the house yet bigger than an iPhone. Pretty good

It came earlier than the expected date.
In general it's in a pretty good condition except some scratches on the corners.
The shadows at the left side of the screen doesn't make any difference, actually it isn't even noticeable on the day light. You can't download apps cause of the ios version but should you have any other Apple device you can download the previous versions of some of apps on the Purchased tab.
I just needed a device to be able to read some Pdf files for my Uni. It is great for that kind of use! I ve also downloaded Netflix, works fine. The cable is included.

Good condition iPad and cover

This is a iPad in good condition that works very well. The charging cable has exposed wires and will need replacing soon but the rest is very nice. Only a few small scratches on the screen which is fine for used condition.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Why I purchased the ipad 2 and enjoy useing it!

great item, I could not justify buying an iphone,as I dont use my mobile phone enough, but wanted a small
more portable pc than my lap top. Also as I was going into hospital,I liked the idea of ease of use. Although I am a bit old in the tooth, I found it quite easy to use. A bonus is having sky at home I could whatch sport and films as long as I could get wi fi connection and by useing my head phones,I would not disturb anyone. The two cameras are useful especially the vidio recording, entertaining not only myself, but also my grand children, who could see instant photos and vidio on a large screen.Would recommend buying this item.Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Amazing,can wave good bye to being on a pc in another room,fabulous!

Fabulous gadget! Can do 95% of what i used to do on my pc and laptop from the comfort of the sofa and not be in another room.top tip,you can print from these,best to get a wireless printer,then download their app,ie epson printer app etc then u can print from within the printer app.Don't recommend the ipad 2 360 degree rotating cases on the market,as the ipad doesn't stand up in the ridges provided.The only thing we have come across so far that we can't do is anything involving adobe flash player ie.our son can't load bin weevils! Fantastic product and excellent value for money.

Bought this product because my son has an earlier model and I was impressed with his 'tour' of the pros of it. It is a good size, but lightweight. A screen protector is a good idea, but you have to buy this separately. Whole range of Apps, it's difficult to choose. Good memory capacity compared to other models and brands. Only dislike is that the whole family hijack it! Awesome product ! Great Value

Absolutely great! Couldnt wish for more!!! Size , functions , responce , everything is great . Great thing for the ones who travel a lot , no need to bring a laptop with you when you have this lightweight thing :) Although cannot replace computer completely .Especially for those who use it for work .
