Beautiful, but quite large
Bought this as a birthday gift for my better half; she is petite and this watch is quite large so not sure how it will go over.

First time with NOS tube s
I picked up a yaqin MS 12B preamp and immediately replaced the tubes with new mullards. Subsequently I purchased these NOS RCA cleartops the see what the NOS fuss was about. On arrival, the tubes did not seem well protected in the shipping box; they had a single length of bubble wrap and some scrunched shipping paper around them, but we’re not held in place securely.
The tubes had considerable oxidation on the pins (NOS Afterall) and I attempted to clean them before trying them out. Must have done a poor job as the noise floor was terrible; with no record playing they were popping and hissing. I took them out and have attempted further cleaning, but have not yet put them back in the preamp.

Great Album, mixing was ok
This is an iconic blues album. My first playing of the record was not what I was hoping it would be. I found the guitar was mixed at lower volume to the voice and took a back seat on several songs. However I made some small upgrades to my system over the past couple weeks and decided to try it again. Although the guitar was still at the somewhat back on some of the songs, it was better overall and I enjoyed the album much more.
