Lessons from a Lifetime of Watercolor Paintings
The book is very comprehensive, great for a beginner and for the more experienced artist as well. Most, if not all aspects of still life, life, and landscape painting and overall composition are covered from the viewpoint of an experienced artist along with materials list, paper quality explanations, brush types to use for special effects. Sections on light and shadow, water and sky give the budding artist a new way to look at their subjects and left me feeling inspired to start a new painting. I bought one copy to give to my daughter-in-law and, after looking at hers, I bought one for myself as well.
